Oxford Island Trip  Primary 3 had an exciting trip to Oxford Island before the Easter break. We learnt about different habitats around the Centre and the pupils were keen to get investigating. Firstly, we went on a minibeast hunt, that the pupils thoroughly enjoyed! We found lots of interesting bugs. Next, we got our nets and went pond dipping. Finally, we walked through the woods on a bird hunt. With some food in our hands we all stood very still to see if any of the local birds would land on our hands. Some pupils were very fortunate as some of the birds were extremely interested in the food and flew onto their hands for a nibble. The pupils did exceptionally well, even though the weather wasn't the greatest. Here are a few snaps of our morning!

Armagh County Museum

Primary 3 had a very interesting and enjoyable visit to Armagh County Museum. We found out about toys our parents, grandparents and great grandparents may have played with. We discovered how the toys worked and the materials they were made from. We had great fun testing the toys! A big thank you to the staff at Armagh County Museum.
Our first week in P3!
So far this week we have been working on numbers to 20 in our mental maths.
During Numeracy we have been collecting information, recording it in tables and creating bar graphs.
In ABL we have been learning all about us.
The children have used plasticine to create their own face, used pencil to draw the other half of their face and also labelled the parts of the body.
We are having lots of fun and enjoying our time so far!
