Inspiring Believing Achieving

Mr Ritchie takes football every Monday afternoon from 3.00 - 4.00pm during Term 1 and term 2. Boys and girls from Primary 5-7 take part in passing, dribbling, shooting and tackling exercises and always finish with some matches.
the team enters the Mid Ulster league for smll, medium and large schools every year and also participate in other competitions such as the Jones Shield indoor tournament, Christian Aid five-a-side tournament and many others.
Last year (2016-17) we had a fantastic year of success with the boys and girls teams winning multiple tournaments and playing an exciting brand of passing football. You can read a detailed report on our success on the Parents Page, Mullavilly Success page of the website.

Boy's win Brownlow Cup

The boys football team finished the season in fantastic style by winning the prestigious Brwonlow Cup. They were drawn in what became known as the 'group of death' with King's Park, Tandragee and Edenderry. They made a sluggish start and hadn't quite woken up yet losing out to Kings Park 3-0. After that wake up call from that point onwards they played superb football. After qualifying from the group they defeated Armstrong in the last 16, Edenderry in the Quarter Finals, Millington in the Semi Finals and finally Hardy on penalties in the final. They played lovely passing football throughout and scored some excellent goals. Well done boys!

Girls win Richmount Tournament

The girls football team made it two trophies in two days by winning the Richmount Girls 5-a-side tournament, regaining the trophy they last won in 2015. Every single girl played superbly. Lucy our goalkeeper didn't concede a single goal, Rachel, Lucy and Chelsie were rocks in defence, Kerrie and Emily worked hard for the team in midfield and Abi and Keeley provided the flair scoring all 9 of our goals between them including a hat-trick for Abi and 4 in one match for Keeley. Every single girl should be proud of their efforts and sportsmanship shown throughout the tournament. Well done Girls! A big congratulatins to Keeley the youngest member of our team in P5 who won the most promising player in the whole tournament.
