Primary 3 Visit to Oxford Island

We had a fantastic day bird watching and exploring habitats which included minibeast hunting and pond dipping. The weather was excellent and as you can see from the photographs we thorougly enjoyed our time there!
What a great day!
As part of our topic on Birds, Bugs and Beasts, we created our own Hoop and Loop Bird Feeders. We will be watching carefully for visits from our feathered friends. During Literacy, we have written instructions for making Hoop and Loop Bird Feeders. We have laminated these and will be sending them home so that it will be possible, if appropriate, to make feeders for gardens at home. We would love to see any photos of little visitors to Hoop and Loop Bird Feeders. Thank you!
P3 have been learning how to follow and give instructions for movement. They have used the following language to move around a map and program a BeeBot: right, left, forwards and backwards. All the children really enjoyed using the iPads to program a BeeBot.
Whatever the Weather topic work.
A windy week for some windy weather activities!!
